AKMU Concert in Korea Canceled due to Corona Virus - The outbreak of the corona virus has caused several K-Pop artist concerts to be canceled. Not only concerts in Southeast Asia, in Korea too. Including AKMU concerts in several cities in South Korea.
On Friday (2/14/2020) YG Entertainment made an announcement on AKMU's official Facebook. Reported that a series of 'Sailing' concerts had to be canceled because of the corona virus.
"YG has taken active preventative measures to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus. Considering the safety of fans and artists, we decided to cancel the 'AKMU [Sail] TOUR' concert," wrote management.
Concerts were canceled in three cities namely Suwon, Ulsan and Cheonan. Each of these concerts is scheduled to be held every weekend from February 22 to March 8.
YG Entertainment expressed their apologies to fans who might be disappointed because of the cancellation. At the same time they also expressed support for medical staff and support efforts to prevent the spread of the corona virus.
Several K-Pop star concerts in Singapore were also canceled due to the corona virus. Like the Taeyeon and NCT Dream concerts in Singapore that were supposed to be held this February.
