Chinese netizens have again criticized the South Korean entertainment industry. This time their target was SBS's popular variety show "Running Man". The program hosted by Yoo Jae Seok cs is in danger of being boycotted by Chinese netizens.

This problem started on Monday (7/12) when Chinese netizens posted a series of photos on Weibo, a popular Chinese social media similar to Twitter. Netizens complained that “Running Man” had violated Chinese principles by posting photos of the board games played by the members.

This board game itself is called Blue Marble which is similar to Monopoly, where players can buy land and property in various cities around the world. Problems arise when Chinese netizens discover that Taipei, the capital of Taiwan, is tiled apart from China Beijing. Netizens do not accept it because they claim that Taiwan is part of China.

There are a number of comments left by Chinese netizens saying that they will boycott "Running Man". Along with that, netizens posted photos showing that they had removed the program files from the watchlist. Shortly after, the acronym "Running Man" became the sixth trend on Weibo as more Chinese netizens commented on the matter.

Responding to this problem, South Korean netizens finally attacked Chinese netizens. "After all, these Chinese netizens are watching 'Running Man' illegally. We don't care if Chinese people don't watch the show," wrote one netizen.

"Yes, don't watch our program," added the other netters. "Don't watch our shows and make duplicates of 'Running Man'," said another. "They act as if not watching the show will influence it or something hahaha," said another. "Why are they so annoying?" concluded the other netters.

Meanwhile, the South Korean entertainment industry has often been the target of Chinese netizens this year. Last October, RM (Rap Monster) 's speech became controversial and BTS (Bangtan Boys) became the target of Chinese netizens' anger after receiving an award for their contribution to the South Korean-US relationship. Last month, BLACKPINK (Black Pink) received criticism after making contact with pandas without wearing gloves.
