The drama, written by Kim Eun Sook, tells the story of two parallel worlds that use the concepts of monarchy and democracy. Lee Min Ho will act as Emperor Lee Gon who tries to close the connecting gates of the two worlds, while Kim Go Eun plays detective Jung Tae Ul who works closely with the emperor to protect the lives of humanity.
Besides Lee Min Ho and Kim Goo Eun, actor Woo Do Hwan played Jo Young, captain of Emperor Lee Gon's security forces, Kim Kyung Nam as Kang Shin Jae, detective who worked with Kim Go Eun, Jung Eun Jae as Goo Seo Ryung , Prime Minister of the kingdom of Lee Gon, and Lee Jung Jin as Lee Rim who is the uncle of Lee Gon.
