Get to know The Great Queen Seon Deok, the First Queen in 5000 Korean History - Many of you are familiar with Korean drama after watching The Great Queen's drama Seon Deok. This drama aired in 2009 on MBC. The drama played by Lee Yo Won as Queen Seon Deok won a rating of over 40% in Korea.

However, do you know who Queen Seon Deok is? In fact, she became the first queen of royal rule in 5,000 Korean history. At that time, only men could become kings.


1. First Queen in Korean History

3. Predictions of Death of Queen Seon Deok
Not only that, one of the most memorable abilities in history is the ability to predict what is called 'Queen Seon Deok's Forecast'. The Queen predicts about Baekje's attack. Where before he heard a swarm of frogs making noise in the Eokmun Pool. This was then considered by Seon Deok as a warning of the impending attack on Silla. Seon Deok then sent troops even though military observers did not see any signs of attack.

4. Died without a royal heir
Early in his leadership in the Kingdom of Silla as his father's successor is believed to be associated with the appearance of intelligence in childhood. One story is that when he was seven years old, his father received a box of Peony flower seeds from the Emperor of China accompanied by a painting of what the shape of the flower looked like.

Ratu Seon Deok is likened to Queen Elizabeth I, where she encourages a revival in thought, literature and art that has a strong impact on Silla culture. He also encouraged a balance between different religious groups in Korea. After his reign ended, Seon Deok died without a narcissist.
