Recently LINE Research conducted a survey of Japan's favorite idols in 2020. From this research, there are at least four K-pop groups in the top 10. They are Bangtan Boys, Twice, TVXQ and Girls' Generation.


On October 28, LINE Research revealed the full results of the survey, which surveyed 571,691 Japanese men and women aged between 15 and 69 across the country about their favorite idols. Twice is at No. 5 on the ranking of most loved female idols in Japan this year.


Whereas Girls' Generation claims at No. 7 on the list even though Tae Yeon et al. Have been inactive as a group for a long time. However, the popularity of the legendary girl group SM Entertainment is undoubtedly what makes SNSD on the top list of brand reputation every month.


Twice itself is the No.1 favorite idol among teenage girls, while Girls' Generation is very popular among men in their forties and fifties. Meanwhile, more than on this year's list of favorite Japanese male idols, BTS is making a strong appearance at No.7, while TVXQ is at No.9.
