NCT Dream greeted fans by releasing their first full album titled "Hot Sauce" and scored many achievements. This time, the 7-member boy group achieved new milestones through their album sales figures.
On May 10, NCT Dream released their first full album since debut, "Hot Sauce." As of Tuesday (25/5), the album which contains 10 tracks recorded sales of 2,040,360 copies in just two weeks of release.
After earning the title of "million seller" in the first week of release of "Hot Sauce", NCT Dream captured the title of "double million seller" after achieving more than 2 million sales in the 16 days after the album was released.
This is a new record for NCT Dream. Mark Lee and friends have sold the album "Hot Sauce" about 300,000 copies more than the 1.71 million copies they obtained through pre-order sales. NCT Dream is also the youngest group to win the title of double million seller with just one album without a repackage album and a special album.
The album also topped the domestic weekly album chart for two consecutive weeks, the domestic music streaming chart, iTunes Top Albums in 37 countries, the Oricon weekly album chart, Billboard Japan's Top Album Sales chart, Line Music's Weekly Album chart, Rakuten weekly chart. Music in Japan, QQ Music, Kugou Music, and Kuwo Music's Digital Albums Sales charts in China.
Although "Music Bank" was canceled for the May 21 episode, it was later announced that NCT Dream's "Hot Sauce" took first place, making it the group's fifth music show win. NCT Dream has also received the "Music Core" and "Inkigayo" trophies, making this their first time achieving a triple crown on three music shows on public TV stations.
NCT Dream will appear on Mnet's “M Countdown” on May 27, KBS 2TV's “Music Bank” on May 28, MBC's “Music Core” on May 29, and SBS's “Inkigayo” on May 30. Congratulations to NCT Dream! (wk / dewi)
