4 Red Velvet Songs with Cheerful Concepts

On June 9, 2021, SM Entertainment has confirmed that Red Velvet is preparing a comeback with a full lineup in August. This will be their first comeback after releasing a repackaged album titled The ReVe Festival Finale in December 2019.

4 Red Velvet Songs with Cheerful Concepts

This comeback, of course, is highly anticipated by fans, especially since Red Velvet has not released an album for a long time to coincide with the summer. While waiting for their latest comeback, here are a series of Red Velvet songs with a bright summer feel. Come on, see!

1. Red Flavor

If you read the lyrics of this song 'Ppa-ppa-ppalgan mat, gunggeumhae honey.' definitely immediately remembered the song called Red Flavor belonging to Red Velvet. This song is included in the album The Red Summer which was released in July 2017.

From the photo poster alone, the feel of summer can be felt by showing the members walking in a garden filled with tropical fruits that match their respective color identities. By carrying the electropop genre and summer funky vibe, this song is very suitable to be played while having a party on the beach.

2. Power Up

'Ba-banana ba-ba-banana-nana.' The lyrics of this song that stands out from Power Up, sung by Red Velvet, is instantly stuck in memory by just hearing the song once. Power Up is included in the album Summer Magic which was released in August 2018.

Wearing a checkered pattern shirt combined with bright yellow and blue colors makes the summer feel even more cheerful in the music video. This song also achieved a perfect all kill on all Korean charts after 2 hours of release.

3. Zimzalabim

If in the previous two songs, the concept of the music video shows the feel of summer in the garden combined with bright pastel colors, but in Zimzalabim's MV this time it's very different. Still with a cheerful atmosphere, but this time themed in an amusement park that is dominant with roller coasters.

The combination of striking colors that are quite bold makes a different summer impression in this song. The genres of EDM and electropop songs are increasingly making the concept of summer a la carnival parade.

4. Oath Oath

Lastly, there is the song Umpah Umpah which is included in the album The ReVe Festival: Day 2 which was released in August 2019. The dance up tempo genre with a disco house rhythm and combined with the beautiful vocals of the members makes this song presenting freshness in the middle of a hot summer.

With pink costumes and artificial beach spots that make this MV even more bright. /hot.detik.com
