Park Min Young Mention the Role of Seo Kang Joon Does Not Fit in 'I'll Go to You When The Weather Is Nice' - The drama 'I'll Go To You When The Weather Is Nice' is scheduled to air starting February 24, replacing the Monday-Tuesday Evening 'Diary of A Prosecutor' slot on JTBC.
The production team "I'll Go to You When the Weather Is Nice" held an online press conference attended by Park Min Young, Seo Kang Joon, Moon Jung Hee, Lee Jae Wook to Kim Hwan Hee on Monday (17/2).
In the press conference, Park Min Young and Seo Kang Joon revealed the initial feelings they heard would compete acting as the main couple in "I'll Go to You When the Weather Is Nice".
"I'm curious to see how he (Park Min Young) expresses his character and I think it's very similar to how I imagined the figure of Mok Hye Won," said Seo Kang Joon.
"How his face looks really similar to my reflection about the appearance of Mok Hye Won and the emotions he expressed were the same. When we started filming together, I could see him as Hye Won and explore my character in the story," continued Seo Kang Joon.
Interestingly, Park Min Young bluntly mentions initially feeling Seo Kang Joon was not suitable to play the character of Im Eun Seob. "To be honest, I think Seo Kang Joon doesn't suit Eun Seob's character. Because he's too handsome," Park Min Young said.
"If you look at photography of someone who looks like Seo Kang Joon, you must think someone doesn't seem to be having a hard life. I think they should be holding someone who is a little handsome," added Park Min Young.
"But when we started filming, he had no ambition to look handsome. He was wearing casual corduroy, knitted sweaters and reasonable parkas. I thought, 'He is an actor'. He deliberately dressed like that to look like his character," added Park Min Young
"Afterwards, I started to think he was a very handsome Eun Seob. I had too much prejudice at first. I didn't think he looked like someone from the countryside or someone who suited me, but when we really started working together, we were naturally fall into the roles of Eun Seop and Hye Won, "concluded Park Min Young.
"I'll Go to You When the Weather Is Nice" itself tells the story of Mok Hye Won who is slowly fed up and bored with her life in Seoul and decides to return to her hometown in Bookhyun Village. There, Mok Hye Won reunites with Im Eun Seob who runs the "Goodnight Bookstore" bookshop.
