BTS Becomes First Artist to Get a Million Quadruple Certificate from Gaon - BTS became the first artist ever to get a Quadruple Million certificate from Gaon.
Since January 1, 2018, the Gaon Chart has given Platinum certificates for albums that have sold more than 250 thousand copies and a 'Million' certificate for albums sold in multiples of one million.
Now on Thursday (09/04), Gaon announced that the album 'Map of the Soul: 7' BTS has sold more than 4 million copies, making them the only artist to have received a Quadruple Million certificate in the history of the Gaon Chart.
In addition to BTS, IZ * ONE managed to get a Platinum certificate after the album 'BLOOM * IZ' sold more than 250 thousand copies. While the song 'Bad Boy' Red Velvet also received a Platinum certificate for the digital category, as the song 'Bad Boy' received more than 2.5 million downloads.
Meanwhile, the song 'Unspoken Words' Davichi also managed to get a Platinum certificate after getting 100 million streaming on various music platforms.
