Big Hit Labels Cancel Year End Offline Concert

The artists who are under the auspices of Big Hit Labels are ready to spoil their fans with concerts at the end of the year. This concert is planned to be held online and offline. However, recently Big Hit Labels has canceled the offline portion of their New Year concert, due to the COVID-19 issue in South Korea.

As is well known, the K-Pop industry has recently experienced an increase in COVID-19 cases. Kim Chung Ha, Yiren and Sihyeon EVERGLOW, UP10TION's Bitto and Kogyeol, and trot singer Lee Changwon have all tested positive for the virus. For this reason, many idols have been or are currently undergoing testing.

"2021 New Year's Eve Live", a year-end event featuring artists from subsidiary agency Big Hit Label, originally offered limited-seating offline concerts, subject to government regulations. However, it was announced that tickets for their offline concert have now been canceled.

In the Weverse announcement, Big Hit Labels stated that they have "strictly adhered to the COVID-19 control regulations" in order to keep their artists and fans safe. Even so, they have decided to err on the side of caution and cancel the offline component, due to increasing cases and increasing social distancing.

The online show will go on as scheduled. The concert will be broadcast live exclusively via the Weverse app starting at 9:30 pm KST on December 31. Several lineups of performers for the concert have also been announced.

The line-up consists of two solo singers, including Lee Hyun who was previously the duo Homme and Bumzu, a solo singer who is well known for his hands in co-writing and producing the discography of NU'EST and SEVENTEEN (II).

As for the idol group, NU'EST was confirmed to appear. BTS (Bangtan Boys) will also be there to showcase stunning stage actions. G-Friend was also announced as part of an exciting lineup, as well as TXT. Newly debuted rookie group ENHYPEN will also be performing their own stage acts.
