This time, Dynamite won a gold certificate in the UK. BTS also became the first K-Pop group to win this achievement.
The achievements of BTS were delivered directly by the British Phonographic Industry. Dynamite received certification from BRIT after successfully achieving sales of more than 400 thousand units.
Dynamite was released by BTS on August 21, 2020. The song is also listed on BE's album.
Shortly after being released, Dynamite immediately became a new phenomenon that took the world by storm. The song succeeded in making BTS dominate the Billboard Hot 100 chart, which contains the 100 most popular songs in the United States, for 2 weeks.
While in the UK, the song Dynamite debuted at number three on the Official UK singles chart in August. Currently, the song is still on the chart at position 75, and has topped the chart for 24 weeks.
Not only is BTS the only Korean group with a gold certified single in the UK, BTS is also the first Korean artist to have a gold certified album there.
They even won gold certificates for two albums, namely Love Yourself: Answer and Map of the Soul: Persona.
Meanwhile, BTS is currently preparing to release a new edition of the album BE named BE (Essential Edition). This album contains 8 songs that were previously on BE (Deluxe Edition), but a number of components are said to be different from before.
