BTS (Bangtan Boys) has secured another Guinness World Records title. On Thursday (18/3) March, it was announced that BTS had made history after their three wins at the 34th Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards last week.
Now that they have won a total of five trophies from the ceremony over the years, they have achieved the "most Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards won by a music group". As is well known, in 2018, BTS won their first Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Award when they took the Favorite Global Music Star award.
They then won Favorite Music Group in 2020. This year they won Favorite Music Group and Favorite Global Music Star, while their song "Dynamite" received the title Favorite Song.
Until now, BTS has won 16 titles from Guinness World Records. This includes the most-watched YouTube videos in 24 hours, simultaneous viewers for music videos on YouTube Premieres, and more for "Dynamite", as well as achievements including best-selling albums (South Korea) and a large audience for live streaming music concerts.
At the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards 2021, BTS was announced as the winner of not one but 3 categories at once. The three awards include Favorite Music Group, Favorite Song (with "Dynamite"), and Favorite Global Music Star. They won all three categories for which they were nominated.
In the video for receiving their trophy, the leader, RM (Rap Monster), expressed their gratitude. Not only that, J-Hope also expressed his gratitude for the love given to their song "Dynamite".
"Thank you Kids' Choice Awards and ARMY (the name of BTS fans) for giving us all these extraordinary awards," said RM. "You have shown so much love for our song 'Dynamite.' Thank you very much," said J-Hope. (wk / daughter)
