GFRIEND and Source Music broke up together. The six members of the group certainly did not renew their contracts with the label.

"GFRIEND's exclusive contract with Source Music will end on May 22. After a long discussion and consideration, we and GFRIEND agreed to separate in order to continue growing," the label said as quoted by Soompi, Tuesday (18/5/2021).

Source Music admits, is grateful and grateful for being able to accompany Sowon cs's journey in the K-Pop music industry for the last 6 years. The label is also grateful for the support given by fans to GFRIEND.

Throughout their 5 years of career, GFRIEND has released three albums in Korean and one album in Japanese. The album 'Walpurgis Night' which was released in November 2020 was GFRIEND's last work before leaving Source Music.
