5 Korean Dramas Adapted To China To Accompany Lunar Holidays

The Chinese New Year celebration in 2021 is a little different because of the high number of COVID-19 in Indonesia. Limited outdoor activities make Chinese New Year celebrations less exciting than usual.

Even though, it's only at home, you can still entertain yourself by watching Korean dramas. The following is a Korean drama adapted from a Chinese drama to accompany your Chinese New Year holiday. Come on, watch!

1. Moon Lovers (Scarlet Heart: Ryeo - 2016)

Moon Lovers or Scarlet Heart: Ryeo is a drama adaptation from China with the title Scarlet Heart or Bu Bu Jing Xin. The story is adapted from a novel of the same name by Tong Hua. Scarlet Heart: Ryeo tells the story of a girl from the 21st century named Go Ha Jin (IU) who drowns in a lake during a total solar eclipse. Then, he came back to life during the Goryeo Dynasty. Many fans are expecting a second season of the drama.

2. A Witch's Love (2014)

A Witch's Love is a drama adaptation from Taiwan entitled My Queen which was popular in 2009. In its home country this drama stars Cheryl Yang and Ethan Ruan. The Korean drama itself is about the romance of a reporter named Ban Jin Yeon (Uhm Jung Hwa) who is 39 years old who doesn't care about love because of past trauma.

3. A Love So Beautiful (2020)

The drama, which has aired since December 28, was adapted from a Chinese drama of the same title. In his home country, this drama aired in 2017 and starred Shen Yue and Hu Yitian.

The Korean drama version tells the story of Shin Sol Yi (So Ju Yeon) who is known to be cheerful even though her love is rejected repeatedly by Cha Heon (Kim Yo Han). Then, appears the figure of Woo Dae Sung (Yeo Hoe Hyun), a new student who likes Sol Yi. Their closeness also disturbs Cha Heon's mind. This drama is the first time this WEi group member has played the main role.

4. The Time We Were Not in Love (2015)

The Time We Were Not in Love is a drama adaptation from Taiwan titled In Time With You. The Taiwanese drama itself is played by Chen Bolin and Ariel Lin. The Korean drama tells the story of Oh Ha Na (Ha Ji Won) and Choi Won (Lee Jin Wook) who are 34 years old and have been friends since they were in school. They have been in friendship for 17 years and are dependent on one another. The drama's first teaser was removed because the concept was copied from the animated short film Jinxy Jenkins & Lucky Lou.

5. Fated To Love You (2014)

Fated To Love You is also a drama adaptation of the popular 2008 Taiwanese drama of the same name. In Taiwan, this romantic comedy drama stars Joe Chen and Ethan Ruan. The Korean drama tells the story of the CEO of a large company named Lee Gun (Jang Hyuk) who is dumped by his lover and ends up sleeping together with an unknown woman named Kim Mi Young (Jang Na Ra)./hot.detik.com
