Gaon Chart has announced its newest set of official certifications! For information, in 2018, the Korea Music Content Industry Association implemented a new certification system for album sales, song downloads, and online streaming.

Starting with music released on or after January 1, 2018, Gaon Chart now certifies albums platinum after hitting 250,000 sales, while albums that have sold one million copies or more receive the "million" certification.
On February 11, Gaon Chart announced that NCT's newest album 'RESONANCE Pt. 2 'has received a million official certifications after selling more than one million copies. This achievement marks the second certification for NCT from Gaon, after the first million certification they received for 'RESONANCE Pt. 1 'in December.
Meanwhile, SHINee Jonghyun's solo album 'Poet | Artist ', GOT7' Breath of Love: Last Piece ', Kai EXO' KAI ', ENHYPEN' BORDER: DAY ONE ', and IZ * ONE' One-reeler / Act IV 'are all officially certified platinum after each selling more than 250,000 copies.
Kim Ho Joong also received two separate platinum certifications for his albums "The Classic Album I - My Favorite Arias" and "The Classic Album II - My Favorite Songs". In the download category, TWICE 'YES or YES' received platinum certification after surpassing 2.5 million downloads. Finally, BTS 'Dynamite' and Naomi Scott's 'Speechless' went platinum in the streaming category after hitting 100 million streams each.
