GOT7's Bambam Appears Cheerfully Welcoming a New Future in the 'riBBon' Solo Comeback MV

GOT7's Bambam has officially released his first solo mini album entitled "riBBon". Uniquely, even though this is the first time he has released a solo album, fans have noticed that the 1997-born rapper marked it as a comeback, and not a solo debut.

On this day, Tuesday (15/6), he has released the music video for the title song which is also titled "riBBon". This solo comeback marks the GOT7 member's first release since leaving JYP Entertainment and signing with Abyss Company.

In the colorful MV, Bambam is like an angel from above as he ties gifts. This song itself tells about starting a new "rebirth" with good hopes for the future. Both the concept and the MV visual are so pleasing to the eye, it's no wonder this release was well received by fans.

On January 19, 2021, after his contract expired, he left JYP Entertainment. On March 5, 2021, Abyss Company announced that BamBam had signed an exclusive contract with them.

In a recent live broadcast, Bambam explained the reason why he used the term "comeback" instead of "debut". He said, "if you guys look at it all, this isn't my first solo."

Sure enough, Bambam previously released a solo OST for the Thai film “The Con-Heartist” at the end of last year, the collaboration song "Do You" with Thai rapper F. HERO in 2019. He also has a solo song called "Party" on the album. GOT7 “Present: YOU”.

Because of this, BamBam shared that he felt it was more appropriate to use the word "comeback", instead of "solo debut" because this was not his first solo. Plus, GOT7 isn't over yet, so he stated there's no need for him to debut. (wk/putr)
